Ethnic jewelry finds are always unique! Much of the jewelry has been bought through a friend or trader who paid the artists directly, some pieces we have collected ourselves while traveling, and the rest are antiques, having passed through several sets of hands, and thus are more expensive. Almost all of the jewelry can be worn - we believe that this is the best way to honor the pieces and their origins.

We hope that through the trade and use of these ethnographic pieces we can all do our part to educate ourselves and others about tribes and cultures whose use of this jewelry is quickly becoming a thing of the past. By keeping these artists employed making their own traditional designs, using traditional materials and methods, we hope to help them sustain themselves through their own cultures and traditional skills, and to send an encouraging message to them and the outside world that we feel their art is valuable and beautiful, that homogeneity and adoption of Western standards is not something to strive towards.
This jewelry not only brings aesthetic beauty, but a larger awareness of what we're trying to do here: sustaining the unique cultures of our world.

We extend wholesale prices of relevant ethnic jewelry
as a courtesy to ethnic dance troupes
, including belly dance!
These must be operated as a business entity
and proof will be required as listed on our wholesale page.

Please note: Old ethnic jewelry has not been cleaned nor polished to preserve patinas and the overall appearance of the pieces at the time of collection. All jewelry is shipped non-sterile and ethnic jewelry should be assumed to have been previously used. They should be utilized for collection, education, and display purposes only or in well-healed tissue when no nickel allergy is present. Pieces have been selected to be both affordable and functional, but may appeal to ethnographic or tribal jewelry collectors as well.
